Dallas Senior Photography : Chance for Senior Reps

Well, so much for my big blog-a-palooza plans for the week:(. I had originally pre-scheduled yesterday’s post but at the last minute I decided to wait to share some exciting news until just a bit later (cryptic, I know).  As far as I knew the new post was up and my 7 day blog party was underway… but, no such luck.  It’s very possible my heart actually skipped a beat, or three, this morning when I realized this post was unexplainably (yes, not an actual word) invisible.  And for this blog, that starts NOW….

I’ll be taking on more High School Seniors this year beyond Knoxville, Tn, and I may even have a special senior photography plan up my sleeves that I’ll shed some more light on in the future.  However, for now, I have some more opportunities for some of you Dallas / Fort Worth high school seniors, class of 2010, to become a photography representatives, or “reps”, for Sheila Hannus Photography!

So what is this so called “rep” you ask?  Well, before I divulge that information, let me start with two questions for you!  Do you want amazing, stand-out, hip senior photos but just don’t know how to get them? Are you going to sit in a studio and settle for something like this……?

.

bad senior picture boring senior photography

.

(I feel I must add that I found that interesting senior photo by googling “bad senior photography”, so that label (“bad”) is not my doing.  Also, having my own nerdy tendencies, I commend this young guy for displaying his love of Gameboy Advance, but…. SERIOUSLY?  There is just a much cooler, and dare I say a bit more subtle, way of doing it.)

What do I think a Senior Portrait should look like?  I’m going to have to go with photos along these lines….

Alright, so tell me about why being a Senior Portrait Rep is so out-of-this-world amazing already!  Ok, I will.  Here’s what it is.

* Limited to 1-2 willing & deserving Seniors per High School in the Dallas area (I’ve also limited the # of schools I’ll take on), sorry, all Knoxville spots have been filled.

* You don’t have to be the most popular, but you do have to be involved in something you can prove will give you a chance to share your photos with a good amount of peers. (For example, in high school I would have said “I’m a yearbook editor so I meet with and interview students daily, where I could share creative senior photos other than the required yearbook pose.  I also am very active in the theatre program at school, and you know how us theatre students like to talk about ourselves!  Lastly, I’m an active member in my church youth group so I could easily promote you to seniors at multiple high schools.” Any one of those reasons would be great to describe a good potential rep.)

* In return for promoting my skills and senior photography services you get a FREE photo shoot, along with some FREE prints!

* Lastly, you must be willing, and most importantly WANT, to share your photos to as many of your fellow ’10 graduating seniors that you can.

Think this sound appealing, and how could it not, then give me an email at smhannus@yahoo.com and tell me a little about you, in return I’ll send you the full deatails and list of free goodies.  Oh, and don’t forget to let me know what high school you attend!

Amber Snow That’s awesome that you put a bed in there! What a cool marketing idea, love it.

No more boudoir posts on this blog…

WHAT?!?  No worries, this is good news my friends!

I am ecstatic to announce that I have officially started a separate boudoir business, ALLURE BOUDOIR!  With our main office in Dallas, Tx!  No worries, we’re still in Knoxville too (finally fulfilling my life goal to be in two places at once).  SO, from now on all of my boudoir posts will be found at http://allureboudoir.com/blog.  But, don’t be surprised if you see a few teasers every once and awhile over here too:)

Everything is still in construction mode (not for long though), I have a website coming, and all kinds of product info that will be flooding the blogs.

I’m also equally excited to show off Allure Boudoir at the Dallas Bridal Show this weekend, July 11 & 12.  I have the honor and privilege of being the FIRST & ONLY boudoir photography booth to exhibit at Dallas Bridal Show.  Come out and see the awesomeness!

So there you have it, now everybody knows why the blog has been quite.  I’ve been insanely busy getting ready for the bridal show, and stocking up on boudoir posts to put on the new blog over the next week.

See Me & Support the Food Bank Saturday in Plano!

Going to be in the Dallas/Forth Worth area this Saturday? Then you have zero excuses to miss this event and help raise money for the North Texas Food Bank.  The band Shock of Pleasure will be out to entertain the crowd, so of course I checked out some of their music, and can’t wait to hear them live.  There is also going to be a huge car and motorcycle show going on, and because charities don’t discriminate- the cars will be all types, from all decades.  So whether your driving up in your pristine 1960’s Caddy or your 2009 Maserati, just come show us what you’ve got.  Wonder if anyone would be impressed with a 2000 Chevy Blazer (with stock rims)?!

There will also be other vendors and activities going on, making this a perfect event to add to your completely empty afternoon tomorrow!

I’m also ecstatic to announce that I am the official event photographer for the day!  So if I didn’t entice you with supporting a great cause, cool live music, and pretty cars, then I know you’ll come because you want to see me in action and get your picture taken with the car models (*slight sarcasm intended*).  I’ll be there during set-up and will be shooting until 4pm.  Really guys, don’t miss this.

Read the whole flyer, but pay special attention to that little blue oval…:) And a special thanks to Eugene over at the Evelyn Kershaw Salon for thinking of me for this event!
